La Trayectoria de Enrique Kirberg y el proyecto educativo popular de la Reforma Universitaria en la Universidad Técnica del Estado de Chile (1930-1973)

Abstract

Este artículo busca relevar la formación histórica del proyecto educativo orientado a democratizar el ingreso de los grupos populares a la Universidad Técnica del Estado de Chile (UTE) durante la Reforma Universitaria, a través de la trayectoria del ingeniero, intelectual y Rector Enrique Kirberg entre la década de 1930 y el golpe de estado de 1973. Aquí se identifican variadas redes de sociabilidad que desde el ámbito técnico-industrial formulación de proyectos intelectuales, políticos y culturales, disputando los marcos de significación en torno al vínculo Universidad-Sociedad y el sentido de la educación técnico-
industrial. Desde nuestra perspectiva, tal proyecto educativo popular toma sentido dentro de la particularidad de la UTE como institución cultural orientada a tecnificar la fuerza trabajadora para el desarrollo de la industrialización nacional, proyecto fortalecido durante el gobierno de la Unidad Popular.
