Abstract

El presente número de REVUELTAS, Revista Chilena de Historia Social Popular, se inaugura en un año marcado por dos acontecimientos que funcionan como una especie de “bisagra” entre el pasado y futuro en la historia de Chile: los 50 años del golpe de Estado y la posibilidad de una nueva Constitución que desbanque a la actual, elaborada bajo la dictadura cívico militar comandada por Augusto Pinochet. Dos acontecimientos que tienen relación con la instauración violenta del modelo neoliberal, y también, posibles rutas a su desinstalación. A la vez, la conmemoración de los 50 años del golpe de Estado permitirá que nuevas memorias en torno a la Unidad Popular, la dictadura y la transición a la democracia circulen y sean parte del debate público. En ese sentido, las y los historiadoras tendremos una importante tarea para entregar claves comprensivas sobre nuestro presente y pasado.
