The City Faces Emergency: Art Actions during Chilean and Argentinian Dictatorships

During Chilean and Argentinian dictatorships (1973-1990; 1976-1983) several art actions were carried out in public spaces. Una milla de cruces sobre el pavimento and No+ in Chile as well as Siluetazo in Argentina, are examples of art actions that emerged outside the cultural institution. These art actions used certain strategies that allowed them to position themselves amidst social movements.
