Construyendo comunidad en el Chile Neoliberal: el proyecto político del CSD Estrella del Sur de Puente Alto

The present article aims to analyze the neighborhood experience of the South star Sport and Social Club, founded in 2015, on the commune of “Puente Alto”, in order to rethink football and the actual society. What motivates this research is to propose an analysis on the way in which sports can be used as an instrument for the recomposition of the social tissue in the actual Chile. Weakened by the prevalence of a neoliberal culture, that promotes individualism, consumerism and the depoliticization of the different actors of civil society.
