''Pobladores movement'' in the city of Los Andes: the case of the first pobladores of ''Patria Nueva” camp, 1973 -1977.

The general objective of this research was to describe the historical
trajectory of the Patria Nueva camp, which was located in the city Los Andes, Chile
between 1973 and 1977, where at this point its Pobladores were forcibly removed.
Our specific objectives were. (1) To identify forms of political action and social
organization within the camp. (2) To document the day to day living conditions. For
this, we sourced oral interviews as well as archive copies of the local newspaper
from the time. We were able to get an insight into the organization that was formed
within the camp, with the main aim of improving the living conditions for its
Pobladores. The final goal of this organization was to find an acceptable solution to
the housing problem. It was also evident that there was unfortunately a large gap
between the camp and local and central government with little to no cooperation
between the two parties.
