VIEWS FROM GENDER ON THE SECONDARY STUDENT MOVEMENT DURING THE 1980s.

This article deals with the experiences of young women high school students belonging to the reorganized high school student movement against the Chilean dictatorship, during the 1980s. Through oral testimonies, we will recognize some conflicts subsumed in the structural analysis of the organization of high school. We observe that, although the secondary movement acted as a single body against the common enemy that was the dictatorship, the internal dynamics put into a gender perspective makes visible the tensions that affected not only women, but also men, who at a young age made important political commitments.
